Wake Tech Athletic Director Robin Pate announced today that Keith Edgerton has been named to lead the Eagles' softball program. Edgerton brings a broad range of coaching credentials to the Wake Tech program serving as a college, high school, and youth coach in North Carolina.
Wake Tech Women’s Basketball tips off the opening round of the NJCAA Region 10 DII Tournament on Monday, March 6, against Guilford Technical Community College. The winner of Monday’s 6pm game will advance to the semifinals of the tournament starting on Thursday.
March Madness tips off early for Wake Tech Men’s Basketball. The Eagles host Guilford Tech in the Opening Round of the NJCAA Region 10 Division II Men’s Basketball Championship at home on Tuesday, February 28, at the South Campus gym. The winner advances to the quarterfinals of the tournament hosted by Cape Fear Community College on Friday.

Wake Tech has canceled fall sports for the 2020-21 academic year. The decision comes after the college announced on Friday that in-person activities would be cancelled for fall semester due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the college’s commitment to protect the health and safety of our community.

Following the recent recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the NJCAA has made the difficult decision to cancel all upcoming basketball championships as well as spring competition, effective immediately.
Due to the seriousness of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global pandemic, Wake Tech is transitioning all on-campus courses to an online format and suspending on-campus activities from March 15 to April 5. The transition period covers Spring Break (next week) and the two weeks following the break.
